NOD is givfing me the message that my trial period has run out and my old username and password are greyed out. It will no longer update its definitions. I believe it is about 1 year old. So, I hit the button that says would you like to buy it and it can't find the server; this has been going on for about 24 hours.

Should I disconnect from the net, uninstall the old NOD and install a newly purchased copy of the new one? Or, can I just purchase a new copy and instal it over the old one? This is the second time NOD has given no warning that the software is about to go out of date - very frustrating.
Fortunately, the software is so good that it's worth the trouble.
